Grabbed this for a ren faire outfit. I haven’t sewn for awhile and still consider myself a beginner, so I was initially intimidated by the pattern/pattern instructions, but if you take your time with it, it comes together nice and easy! Size chart was also as expected. Would definitely recommend!
Super easy to put together. I fully lined instead of using a facing and added a skirt to make it a pinafore. The size chart is spot on; the only sizing modification I had to do was cut some length off the bottom edge because I have a short torso.
Fair warning, I did not follow the provided instructions as I mainly wanted this pattern for the shape themselves to use to my own preference! First use was for an upcycling project and it worked very well!
The pattern is easy to use. I did however add a boning piece next to the eyelets for extra support. And the shoulder straps are a little to long for me personally so I will make them a little shorter when i make them again next week!
Excellent pattern, my first time ever following one and it turned out great!! I did end up adding some boning so the little point wouldn’t fold in, but I used really flimsy linen fabric!
I used this pattern for my Halloween costume. And I'll be honest here, I did not read the instructions on this pattern. But it's extremely cute! I've been sewing for 7 years, feel fairly intermediate when it comes to garment sewing, and this one was quick and easy. Only took about 4 hours, cut to finish. I inserted piping along the top and center front edges and bound the bottom, which was different from what the pattern called for. Other than that I stayed on track. Great pattern for costumes or a cottagecore accessory.
I was apprehensive when I first purchased these patterns. Just because of the simple fact that I am notoriously horrible at understanding patterns and usually just try to figure it out by eye. These patterns were so easy to use and understand! I used this one to make my Halloween costume this year and I am so thrilled with how it came out!
Looking forward to making this. Seems like an easy to follow instructions.
This was really fun and easy to make, even as a beginner. I made mine of flannel, and modified it to have snaps rather than grommets for a more waistcoat-like look and I'm very happy with it.
